What went wrong?
The suffix “Increased area for melee area skills” (weapons) is not increasing the Judgment area, but instead increasing the casting range.

after some more testing, the casting range increase is due to me using a spear.
and about the area… It could be increasing the initial hit, but not consecrated ground area, because it isn’t a melee skill, but a spell cast after the initial melee hit.
