Joining a faction on a new Toon?

I remember being able to select CoF as soon as I got to the first town on my previous Alt, however, I’ve just rolled a Primalist and got to the first town and the people aren’t there to make my faction choice? Have they changed this?

This is only avaialble if you are in the same game mode. Did you choose a different game mode? Solo Account Found, Solo Character Found? Or maybe your first character was one of these and now you ahve not selected a game mode?

Same goes for Softcore/Hardcore

Yeh definitely the same game mode as I have access to the same stash and also if I press ‘Y’ I can see it says CoF is Rank 6 (which is what I got to on my main). Just not seeing the people in the usual spot to join up on my Alt

On alts u can pick a faction in the keepers camp.

Yes, I could the first two alts I made, but now none I make seem to be able to. The two people to pick your faction are not there

At this point i would report it as a bug. Cuz thats exactly where they should be.

If this was deliberate, then we the customers don’t like it. Please change it back.

I dont think it was. I havent seen anything in patch notes about this changing.

Im guessing this is bugged

The in game tooltip still says you can select a faction on alts in the first town too so yeh, I think it is a bug. I’ve put a post up in the Bug Section too but it’s just a waiting game now I guess. So annoying as I had some great twinks for my new toon. Now the thought of doing the whole campaign again ‘normally’ kinda killed my buzz haha

Take a few minutes and try again. It would be faster than waiting for support to answer.

i died and restarted yesterday and they were there in first town.

weird. id try starting again it takes like 2 minutes.

Made a similar post on the steam discussions and it appears people are there are having the same issue as me too. New chars can’t join a faction. Not appearing in the first town. Don’t quite know why it’s working for some but not others…
