Hiya, so there are some sick spears in this game I got an awesome phys dmg one with some summon locusts etc and then a +poison skills on it, weirdly there are no sentinels using posion and the only thing for sents really seems to be throwing a jav~ which I just did a build and it’s kinda whack. Definitely fun but the aoe is super small and landing mech for me was quite tricky due to having to fire it straight up above me 80% of the time since mobs rush you… I’d love to see warpath with a jav section and some posion nodes in there. It’s weird enough that you need 20 points to dual in a class that’s really the prime dual weilders in any rpg/arpg/mmorpg/dnd - rogues get it super early, odd.
I just think spears could do with some more variety/love and poison would make for so many more cool choices (doesnt seem to be cold even though my sent relic got weavered with some freeze lmao)
I don’t think there’s a precedent for dual wielding belonging to a certain class or archetype. The option to dual wield and the requirements to enable it change wildly from game to game.
For example in Diablo 2, it was Barbarian and Assassin who could dual wield. Paladin was the closest archetype to LE’s Sentinel and couldn’t dual wield.
But for example in Grim Dawn, you can simply equip a specific Relic item to be able to dual wield on any class.
Mages have it even worse. Spellblade needs 20 points in Mage plus 25 points in Spellblade tree to be able to dual wield, so only 1 of the 3 Mage masteries can actually dual wield.
Haha my post was about the Jav - I just think the dual should be earlier for a purely melee class, rogue gets to be a marksman or have a trained birdy. Sent/Rogue should have dual access same time cos palarus dual weilding is mega and makes it nice and quick lol. TBH I haven’t played a SB yet but that just put me off a bit haha!
