It is mind blowing that this item still isnt allowed to have attack speed in the current state of the game. EHG when do you intend to give this item the most important stat for its functionality? It already doesnt have a high base attack rate, so not allowing attack speed as an affix further compounds that fact that spellblades mainly scale spell dps based on their attack rate.

I actually made a build based around this unique in season 1 that revolved around the absurd attack speed that you can get with tempest strike as a beastmaster.
I was able to sustain around 110 stacks of the searing blades buff.

I had pushed Jasper’s Flame Reave spam Spellblade to 1000 corruption in 1.1 and it got slight buffs in 1.2
While other specs can push wayy more Searing blade stacks (Shield rush Paladin and Tempest Strike Beastmaster) Jasper’s is still a very strong option for Flame Reave Spellblade vastly outdoing my initial plan of using World Splitter. Attack speed from rings/gloves, passives, frenzy and enchant weapon can net you 30-40 stacks on single target which is not bad.
Attack speed is actually detrimental for Flame Reave spam in my experience as too much will put you into mana problems and reducing mana cost is not optimal as you want atleast 11 mana cost for Volka’s Razor damage boost.
