Items, crafting materials, money and chest upgrades disappearance

Hi,

Just opening a topic to inform you about what happened.

I have played the game yesterday. But when I log in this morning, all the items, crafting materials, money and chest upgrades (stash tab) earned disappear.

The progression I made as well as equiped stuffs remain though.

The game is running through the standalone launcher.

Sorry you are having hassles…

What you describe is usually what happens if you get a corrupted Epoch_Local_Global_Data_Beta file - this file contains the stash, money, crafting mats and upgrades… If anything happened to the file then this could explain what you are experiencing.

Usually the game will reference in the log if there is a problem with the savegames or this global stash file, but I dont see anything in the log you posted - in fact its a pretty small log that doesnt show loading into a map or loading a game and playing at all… As these logs are rotated - is this the log immediately from the session when you realised the missing Stash?

As a way to try and restore this: there is an _temp version of the same file in the same folder on your system - if you swap the files (rename them) the _temp one might actually still work as its a previous backup - however, if the game has tried to cycle through, then this _temp file might also be corrupted…

I recommend you try that to see if you can recover your stash by doing the swap.

Please note that EHG has no access to your files & everything is local so there is no backup of your saves or other files unless you manually made them yourself… (something I do myself just in case this kind of thing happens to me).

I didn’t see it right away, and reboot the game before seeing it.
So I think, the temp file is missing those item too.

Anyway, it didn’t really matter. It’s just some stuff.
I know how to fix this problem now. If it occur again I will try to apply this fix.
