When you hover over a dropped item on the map the tooltip shows the item’s details as expected.
But when other items drop (e.g. when your minions kill stuff) the tooltip disappears.
I have loot filters enabled, but the tolltip disappears also for items the filter hides - but when the tooltip disappears the item drop sound occurs every time.
