  1. As I play with a controller, it’s a bit finicky in figuring out how to position myself so that I can grab a shard if it’s in the middle of a bunch of equipment drops. Shards are always useful; equipment is mostly useless, and picking up a huge weapon when I’m trying to grab a shard means I have to open up the inventory window and drop the weapon after I pick up the shard, or I risk not having enough room to grab the things I actually want to grab.

This is particularly obnoxious when you have multiple spires raining down death upon you every X seconds. Standing still and trying to pick up the items I want to grab could mean death if I’m not careful. This can be fixed by prioritizing shards in the pick-up radius over equipment, as there’s rarely a reason not to pick up shards now that the crafting window is vastly improved.

  1. Please, please, remove low-level uniques from Monoliths. I’m running level 80-90-100 Monoliths; I could not possibly care less about your level 3 shiny Unique. I have it set to hide items below a certain level, but the shine means I can’t just ignore it in the event it’s a newer Unique I haven’t seen yet.

I personally never played LE with a controller but making your loot filter more strict would certainly solve your problem with “gear is mostly useless”

If gear is hidden by the loot filter it should not interfere with the selection process
