After you kill a bunch of monsters you open the town portal, go sell the items from the inventory to the NPC vendor, return to MAP to collect the loot that you left behind…well it`s not there anymore, all the items and all the monsters corpses are gone.
Unfortunately this is how our scenes work. If you portal in and out items can disappear and and/or the zone resets. Sorry you lost your items.
