Italian Language

May I know when it will be translated into Italian? Thank you

If I had to bet,… never.

And indeed, the user’s response to a… normal question is exactly what we all expect by now. In fact, for Last Epoch, the only languages missing are Aramaic and Cuneiform. The thing that makes you think, in 2025, is that making a translation—JUST subtitles—is AI work that doesn’t take much time for the developers. No, the reasons are different… and Italians have every reason to believe they are being deliberately “skipped”… but the developers will come up with the usual excuses, the ones we’re used to hearing—not because they’re true, since some of the languages the game has been translated into haven’t brought any benefit… quite the opposite. And they know this well… but they can’t admit it.

It’s not so much a matter of “learn English,” which, let’s be honest, even dogs understand by now—it’s just a matter of consideration, which simply isn’t there.

So, dear developers, you can respond however you like, but I know it, just as you know it—MAKING A TRANSLATION, just subtitles, would be ridiculously easy FOR YOU. For those who don’t know… I GUARANTEE IT, because, coincidentally, I happen to know a thing or two about this. Some will say, “Do it yourself”… but why should I? Or rather, why should we? We paid for the game, just like we paid for all the other translations, some of which I’d be curious to see the internal data on the actual number of players using those languages… I think we’d all be left SPEECHLESS. The pattern is clear, crystal clear.

I see plenty of new updates coming, but little SUBSTANCE—and certainly NOT a simple translation that could make OTHER NEW PLAYERS happy.

Business first, then the players… perhaps.

Yes, they are deliberately not translating into Italian because they know that 125% of the LE players are Italian & a further 89.4% speak Italian as a second language. The translations are a 5 minute job & as we have seen from all the other translations, flawless. Italy as a nation should totally go to war with EHG as they are being deliberately snubbed. I’m sure EHG would never have used data they have as to where their users are to prioritise translations.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for translations into foreign languages, especially if they’re decent (unlike the current translations).

I’m playing Citizen Sleeper (the first one) right now and it’s adequately translated in french. It’s rare that I play a game in my language and I must admit : it’s so damn refreshing! I enjoy it so much right now.

And I want to reiterate, as Llama said, the french translation of Last Epoch is still bad and misleading. I still can’t recommend the game to anyone wanting to play exclusively in french. I guess they gave up on that ?

I doubt they did. I think it’s just a case of priorities and fixing translations being further down the line.

I can’t speak for what their process about this was, but the impression I got from this was that they did the translations to be barely passable so they would be available and they won’t change them again until they can do a proper job of it.
Meaning a real translation job, most likely hiring translators for it. AI has advanced a lot, but machine translations still don’t do a proper job. There are still plenty of weird sentences in translations. So if they’re going to fix it, they’re going to do it right.

At least, that’s what I feel about this. I could be entirely wrong.
