Hi i started just yesterday and i am playing a mage, but i want to know how viable is having a tri elemental nova, instead of focus on one or two types of damage, of course i understand that if i go one element i can stack all fire dmg or cold dmg items and buffs but i love the concept of trielemental explosion on AoE, also i would like to improve the node in electric dmg that let you change to the basic trielemental nova, for 2 reasons, first i lost all of the other 2 pasive paths and also i like a lot more how the âbuffedâ elements looks with those big ice spikes and fire ring is awesome so i want to ask if any dev read this if you can make a new node to have the trielemental with the buffed looks.
PD: I just started yesterday so i donât know if having a node to active the three elements at the same time would be OP, but my common sense tell my that not focusing is a big hit to the dmg of the spell itself since you donât froze enemies so often or ignite or schock them apart of that i am really having a blast with this game .
Going multi damage types can be viable, if you really have a solid build idea.
Going all elemental damage types is definitely the easiest form of âhybridâ builds, since there are âelemental damageâ affixes.
One really important thing:
You can freeze, shock or ignite with every damage type, you only need ignite chance or shock chance or a base freeze rate.
I am not an expert on elemental nova specifically, but i think only the cold dmg elemental nova has a base freeze rate, so you can onyl freeze with that.
But generally ailments are not dependend on the type of ability that applies them.
Just to make it clear:
You can ignite, shock, poison, bleed etc with any damage type or skill, as long as you have a chance to inflict it on gear/passives/skills.
ohh i didnât know that, its a really interesting fact, you are feeding my dream of a tri elemental nova with that, now if only there was a trielemental passive node that let me use the other elemental types without doing channeling and all casted at the same time.
If you have all 3 elements enabled you can use some of the tri-element passive skills in the sorcerer passive tree and there is also a tri-elemental set
