I noticed some critics gave D4 an 8 out of 10, and LE only 6 out of 10. This has to be a joke.
You can buy critics with money. Hell yeah you can buy everything with money nowadays, ppl just dont call it “buying” anymore.
It just shows that “Snowstorm” invests in critics instead of proper devs/game designers who fill their game with real content and fun.
LE invests into making their game better and they trust their community to support them.
As with any other genre, you have to take critics with a grain of salt. And especially if their reviews align with yours. I can definitely see someone ranking D4 higher than LE, especially if they’re casual players.
At a shallow level, D4 is good and is gorgeous. It has a lot going on for it. Just no build complexity or entertaining endgame or gearing system. And if you only play a few hours a week or a month, then D4 is entertaining, like D3 was if you played it for a week every season.
Critics won’t ever spend hundreds of hours playing the game before submitting their review (unless they really like the game, but those will rate it higher) so it actually makes sense.
Well, for some men it makes sense refunding the game just because there’s a Goth Girl as an Acolyte… Imagine what they can do when it comes to business.
