Seasons are nice & long , so I’m just gonna play their game the way it’s put forward to me. No race for me anymore.
Still enjoy the game & will be in my rotation list of top down arpg’s for a long time.
I agree.
I really don’t understand what the big deal is. In previous seasons, I always got through the first chapter pretty quickly, not even using the shards at the beginning mostly because at that point you are still getting major item upgrades every few minutes. Yeah, I understand not building up an early inventory of them, but the time spent getting to the forge quest is pretty quick
This is hilarious. lvl 15 is giga fast to get…
its also pretty easy to read and not need the game to literally force you to engage with it because you are so dumb and impatient you click through every menu that tells you how to play the game…
like I dunno, its very easy to brush this off as “haha just get to level 15 its whatever”
and its more shocking they felt the need to add this because people are so uncontrollably stupid and unable to actually learn things in a game that they are going past level 15 without understanding what the forge is…
Im sorry but getting to lvl 15 in this game really is nothing hard or a thing that takes too long so I personally dont see this as an issue
Pretty big overreaction considering you can get to level 20+ naked…
Exactly. I’ve played for 30 minutes, just to see how the game is and felt no difference without shards
lol no, i just had a quest guy drop a crap load of shards at lvl 9
Don’t believe everything you read in the patch notes. My first shards dropped in Ulatri Highlands. The tutorial NPC was already acting as if I had completed his quest
Are you playing legacy? The quest is account-bound, so I expect being in legacy (and having characters over level 15 already) means that the quest is complete.
No, it’s a seasonal character. I can only guess what the issue might be. The shards dropped for me from a regular wooden chest, and after that I immediately started getting shards as normal drops. Most likely, at that moment the script automatically completed the quest and unlocked the Forge
For seasonal, it looks like the shard drop right in the act 1 boss bridge entrance and they give you a bit to then use the forge as an intro, I was around level 9. I couldn’t go beyond gates without it.
This is such a non-issue. You’re only level 15! What the hell crafting are you doing at such a low level? As soon as you craft something, you’ll be swapping it out 2 levels later for something better anyway.
Doesn’t matter in the slighest.
It’s fine for me to stuff your head down the toilet because I will let you up in 30 seconds, and then you can breathe.
Or do you just wanna breathe whenever you wanna breathe, and permanently have agency of your own?
This is such a non-argument that only sounds like it’s actually applicable.
You can’t use idols or get idol drops until act 2. Is that an issue?
You can’t slam LP uniques until almost at the end of the campaign. Is that an issue?
You can’t use blessings until normal monos. Is that an issue?
ARPGs are about unlocking stuff as you progress. Just like devs decided that you don’t need idols before act2 and you don’t need legendaries before act 7 (or whichever it is) and you don’t need blessings until monos, they also decided that you don’t need crafting until the end of act 1.
Or are you advocating to have everything immediately unlocked and available at level 1, including skills and passive trees?
Seriously? Come on. I think there’s a slight discrepancy in power between the other things you list and the >level restricted< (and FP restricted) application of affixes to baby items. So, just no. They are not even remotely comparable, and anyone with any sense, including you, knows that.
Y’know what, fine. Whatever. Another great decision, EHG.
This is becoming one of the most retarded threads in the forum and you keep arguing about things that are simply not true.
The new forge is at the Osprix camp which is like level 8-9. Previously you didn’t get any shards up to this point anyway (unless you find a shrine, so you’re “handicapped” by like 10 shards best case scenario).
The tutorial is for your first character in the season, meaning all your alts have access to the forge the moment you login.
You’re all raging because you can’t access the forge UI while having 0 shards.
There is absolutely non-existent issue here, the change is almost purely cosmetic.
Is there one, though? You barely have any shards during act 1. And those you do are rarely the ones you need.
I don’t think you can even find lizards or Nemesis in act 1, so you don’t even have that to fill up on shards.
This is one of the least impactful changes EHG has done to the game. I don’t think even 1 in 1000 players ever crafted in act 1.
I am not a zoomer in any way, shape or form, and I had it unlocked by lvl 8.
Seeing as it unlocks crafting for future chars too, I don’t really have a problem with it.
Your first char won’t gather that many shards before unlocking it anyway.
