As said in title. Currently some skills, for example Abyssal Echoes, clearly says “50 void damage over time”; however other skills, for example Smite, does not have a base damage number. For “minor” skills that appear in passives or skill spec trees, we still have Time Rot which clearly says “20 damage over time” and Cascading Orb which does not.
This created unnecessary difficulties for players when decide which node or item to pick. If I do not know the base damage of skill, how can I know whether it’s better to pick “+2 to XX skill” or “+20% damage to XX skill”? We do have a training dummy but it’s annoying and meaningless to test that especially for proc skills, which damage numbers are mixed with other skills.
Hope devs can make it clear. Thanks.

The devs are working on detailed skill DPS infos. I hope this does also cover all skill procs like you mentioned and not only the skill base damage with the modifiers from the tree. Also taking all increases from passive tree and gear into account is important.
This is a very complex task I think but its desperately needed.
