Inventory searching on alts & character selection screen data

I’ve been thinking for a while, it’d be really nice to be able to search your alts to see where that one unique/legendary/etc is hiding since it’s not in your stash (& with ~82 characters, going through them one by one isn’t really an option, nor, IMO, is loading them all into the build planner to see if it’s equipped & that wouldn’t check their inventory).

I’d also like to have a tab/something in the character selection screen that brings up the highlighted character’s skills, possibly passives & inventory screen so you could get an idea of what the character/build was going for, potentially as well as seeing what gear you have on what characters.

Both good ideas…

My initial reaction after readingt this tho was that you were describing API access to player character data on the online version… I figure both of those requests would fit in perfectly to the kinds of things a lot of people like Dammit & Tunk are gonna want when the game is stable and online…

Yeah, but why wouldn’t they be in-game as well? Why should one have to go out of the game to get information? Especially about what’s where on any of your bajillion alts!

Mike would want it to be someone elses problem to create this feature, not his… :wink:

We all know that Mike tries to face-tank stuff he shouldn’t. That’s what minions are for, so he can do other stuff.

One could, yes (I can’t, I’m an accountant, not a programmer) & that’d be a decent workaround for offline.
