Pressing A or X to pick up or drop an item in the player character’s inventory instead equips that item. And the item that was equipped is picked up or dropped instead.
My partner told me about this bug and I was able to reproduce it instantly. This bug makes the game virtually unplayable for anyone using a controller on PC.
