Ingame stuttering/FPS drops - possible fix here

Hi there,
just a TLDR topic - I am new to Last Epoch - and more or less i was facing stuttering during some parts of the game when moving, fighting and so on.

Did a lot of trial and error solutions what I found via google, nothing worked, …unless

I added two Steam launch parameters
-useallavailablecores -notexturestreaming

when I did that, my loading times are just a bit longer, but performance stabilized and i am experiencing no sudden performance drops or stutter whatsoever

tried it on all presets, everything is fine - currently playing on very high preset (with detailed shadows turned off, just in case - not having the strongest GPU here…)

my config is
i5-11600K
32GB 3200MHz RAM
RTX 3060
1TB NVMe SSD (Kingston A2000)
Windows 11
i am playing on 1920x1080, 144hz with Gsync, FPS lock via NVCP on 136FPS - using newest drivers 572.83 - aside from DLSS override in other games and shader cache set to 10GB, I am not using any other NVCP/Nvidia App forced settings

after using those two parameters, performance is rock stable on both windowed fullscreen or fullscreen

just sharing, in case someone from EHG sees it or it atleast may help some other people

Thanks…

two other things you can try…

  1. uninstall YOLOMOUSE, as it causes stuttering (use windows accessibility to make cursor bigger instead)

  2. turn off windows GPU scheduling

Well my rig is strong enough, so I got no problems with LE… but just keeping this post visible, many people struggle with stuttering in LE so… :vulcan_salute:

Hey bro,
my specs: 9800X3D/4080S/32GB
I had noticable FPS drops on my rig and this actually fixed all the issues!

Thanks a lot.

interestingly, this made my frame dips worse.

thats possible - by disabling texture streaming you may prevent stuttering, random texture pop ups and so on, but its more demanding on hardware because it preloads all textures into VRAM or RAM, instead of them loading dynamically when needed

asi I have 32GB RAM and 12GB VRAM on Full HD, those two factors are not concern for me, but stuttering was and its gone

i have the same ram and vram, but disabling texture streaming cut my fps in half consistently during combat situations in any area where it usually only used to dip in certain void areas, broken bridge and against some champions and coid enemies, which makes no sense to me.

forcing it to use all cores seems to help, but it never used much cpu before anyways, so no idea if that is just better enemy/ environment rng.

edit: yeah all just luck based. just now i had a drop to 24 fps in bleak steppe, so neither having it on or off does anything for me
