That is probably because they’re already aware of the problem and are trying to fix it, and spreading that information to the general public like you’re doing is only harmful to the game.

You informed the devs, now let them get a fix for it and remove the duped stuff.
If you have reported it through proper channels like the ingame tool,they should be able to review and fix it. Not sure what you are expecting a private dialogue?
Things like this take time to find the cause of it. Sometimes its quick and easy other times its not.
Sure, but spreading exploit information to the general public is never a good idea. That will just make it so more people will do this before it’s fixed (and likely get banned and increase the effort the devs have to take to remove the excess gold).

Right, so there’s absolutely no harm in spreading that to even more people and saying “Hey guys, here’s an exploit, go try it out”. Especially in the game forums, where most people were likely unaware of it.
More attention > fast fix
It’s actually the other way around. The time to fix remains exactly the same, but then it takes longer for the devs to figure out all the accounts involved and ban them, just like it takes longer to remove the duped gold.
Exploits are always a dev priority. So anytime they are aware of one, it will always be fixed as fast as possible. The time to fix them doesn’t change because it will always be fixed ASAP, it’s an “all hands on deck” situation.
So more attention is always just more harmful to the game. Even if you’re just attention seeking and all you want is a pat on the head and a “Good job, Lassie”.
As a way to hopefully end this discussion, Mike said on discord, regarding this issue:

This won’t happen. Nor did it ever happen. When we had the mid-season reset, it was not due to the gold exploit in 1.1, but because we got a new event. And we got the event because of the already planned long wait between seasons.
When the gold exploit happened last time a lot of people were asking for a reset and EHG didn’t do it (nor would it make any sense, since according to them they removed almost all the exploited gold anyway).
So I expect that this also doesn’t have an impact on the market (other than because of player panic/speculation), since it was already fixed and I expect exploited stuff was deleted.

I honestly don’t remember seeing this. All I’ve seen is Mike saying there was no need for a reset because the amount of gold left from the exploits wasn’t much.
There where two post by EHG around this time. The one with the mid season reset didnt speing up untill they got backlash about reseting due to it.
I remember it cuz i even posted on that thread saying if its about the gold exploit just reset the economy not the whole season. As well as others sayinf the same thing.
It was a couple days later they anounced the reset pole that lasted 48 hrs
Might take me a bit to find it unless they deleted that post. At work currently hard to dig for stuff right now
There was a LOT more than just resetting because of the dupes…
Yes, they initially announced the wipe along with announcing the Event, but there being a dupe was the smallest of all the reasons they decided for a wipe.
Then, after player’s feedback, me included, saying it was absurd for them to decide on a Wipe mid-cycle without asking for players feedback on this decision, they made a new announcement with the Poll, letting players decide what actions they should take. And the majority of players decided for a complete wipe.
Yes, that is more or less what I remember. The main reason for the reset wasn’t the exploit but rather adding some new stuff (and, honestly, to try to keep us entertained for a little longer while we waited).
