To my understanding taking this node should cause more infernal shades to proc on nearby enemies but right now it seems like the first shade is replaced by a new second shade making the node completley useless 
hope this gets fixed soon I am loving the game but this is hurting my will to play alittle bit because my build feels kind of bad for mobbing without this node working
I can’t seem to replicate this, do you happen to have the Hellfire node as well as Legion?
I am having the same issue. Legion is doing nothing for me. If i cast it there is only one infernal shade no matter who is near by. I don’t have the Hellfire.
