For Shatter Strike you get +4% increased damage per intelligence and for dexterity it’s +4% increased MELEE damage. is there a reason they are differentiated?
I was under the impression that only MORE modifiers will effect proc stuff like ignite so does it make a difference at all?
Nope, any relevant damage modifier gets inherited. The 4% damage most skills get from attributes get inherited (as the resultant % damage modifiers, not as the attribute & then the calc happens again).
ok so the 4% increase on shatter strike is only applying to the things it procs that also dont have their own skill tree then right?
shatter strike can proc glacier (directly in shatter strikes skill tree) and also frost claw from the passive tree but nothing from shatter strike will increase either of those abilities damage right?
another question, there’s a node in shatter strike that increases it’s critical strike multiplier for each sword equipped, would that added crit multi apply to the ice spikes as well from shatter strike?
It should do yes, there’s nothing in the wording that would prevent it as long as any thing that Shatter Strike procs can crit (& can inherit modifiers from the proccing skill).
another slightly related question. the blade weaver passive that grants 15% (up to 150%) more damage to the next melee attack. does this apply to the recasts of shatter strike as well or just the initial swing?
another question lol. a node - Shatter strike hits convert all stacks of ignite into frostbite.
when the conversion happens is the damage still based on the initial ignite damage or is it like a new proc of frostbite based on shatter strikes increases/more and cold increases and everything?
I actually don’t know about that node, I’ve never used it, I’d assume that the damage is recalculated based on your relevant stats for Frostbite. That’s probably worth asking the devs on discord.
