When I launch the standalone client, I have to login manually every time. The client remembers only my email but it doesn’t allow me to stay logged in. I understand that it’s more secure to ask the credentials every time but it’s a tedious UX and I would like to have the option to jump directly to the character selection.
Any thoughts or any idea if it’s in the todo list?

Yeah, I hate to have to make this comparison, but PoE has always remembered your entire login details, allowing you to just click the login button to get directly into the game. We really need that functionality in LE.

Is this only a standalone client issue? Because I launch via Steam and the game always remembers my credentials. I only need to click the login button and go (aside from the first time, of course).
Im sure it’s the standalone client problem.
I dont have steam and I have to put my password in everytime.
Also, I’d like a “log-out” option as well. Sometime I just want to log out of my account, not exit the game entirely.
Why?
Not particularly related, but I’d like a “return to character selection option” if I want to switch characters rather than being kicked out and having to log back in. I suspect this will be more of an issue when multiplayer is added since then I’d have to log in, select multiplayer then select a character.
I can confirm that for me, this has happened and I am using Steam.
It usually just goes straight in, but once or twice it will ask to revalidate the login in the client.
Reminds me of the typical website logins in a web browser - every once in a while (or after a cookie clear) the website forces you to login again.
