Not a single day passes without discriminatory and far-right remarks being made in the global chat. Political discussions are constantly being fueled. In addition, far-right parties are being promoted. Most of this is rage bait or trolling, but it’s still really annoying.
Your in-game chat report system is terrible. You can create a report, but it requires taking a ‘current screenshot.’ However, the chat cannot be paused during that time.
So players are expected to memorize both the names and the hate speech content. By the time you finish writing the report, the chat has already moved on so far that you can’t even scroll back to it.
It would be so simple: right-click on the chat name and then select ‘Report’ in the context menu.
Because the developers do not give a crap about this kind of behavior, If anything they encourage it. It took years before they even implemented this current system, before you had to go to their support page and make a god damn TICKET to even report people, so guess how many people got punished? Like zero.
We solved the reporting system back in like 2000 with a simple right click and report. But they continue just having it in the most obtuse way possible.
And the only reason I can see is that they do not give two rats asses about what people say. Nazism hatespeech and etc can and do run rampant and they take pride in it.
I know this is not true because they have banned people before.
But it does begger belief that they don’t have a chat reporting system like this. It’d include all of the necessary chat messages that they’d need to review to action (or hopefully rater a link to the relevant section of the chat log so they can see all of the context & surrounding discussions rather than just taking one person’s word for it.
