Improving Character Control networking and User Experience

  1. There is currently no way to change key bindings, and I was unable to find a way to do so after searching. Optimization in this area is desired and HIGHLY recomended.
  2. A optionally boundable “stop” command should be added to allow for more control over character movement. Currently, clicking to move a character will cause them to continue moving until they reach a certain point. This can negatively impact those with disabilities or poor mouse control, as it can cause a character to run into a one-shot mechanic without adding a click to stop them. Additionally, it can be difficult to get a character to a specific position without this feature.
  3. Network options should be added, with the most important option being networking mode Auto. This mode would automatically switch between predictive and lockstep mode based on a player’s latency. The threshold ping for this mode is approximately 150 milliseconds.
  4. Deterministic lockstep mode should be included as an option. This mode perfectly synchronizes the client with the server and helps prevent potential unfair deaths caused by desync issues.
5.Customizable health bars with toggleable options like a health bar numerical values or frame colors to signify elite mobs
6.Objecte identification through holding of the alt key currently users are experiencing difficulty and confusion about hit box’s with expecially with the added delay of door processing(the ideal is basically that by holding down the alt key you can view a small labeled square that upon clicking will interact with that target)
7.BEAUTIFUL door solve add graphic to show the player that they have interacted with a door to eliminate the feel of a delay and the door not working currently there is a huge delay between clicking on a door and a loading screen and there is a box that eventually pops up and it feels bad make theme fade into the door light as they walk in and initiate the load as they start to walk into door light instead of having to click but like u can make them walk a ways in so there not just moving by accident honestly this is safer than clicking as far as acidental transfers go between zones
