Immersion breaking - NPCS Portraits that don't match character models

The game art is beautiful all the way around. I love the actual art of the portraits, they really look like real people most of the time and it makes me care about what the NPCs have to say. It’s really impactful.

That said, the impact is totally lost on me when their 3d model doesn’t match their portrait, which is quite often. Some of the portraits are re-used faces with different clothes which is kind of weird too.

In particular there’s quire a few NPCs from the Divine era onward that fall in this category. Completely wrong hair, different colors, missing beards, etc.

Here’s one example in Maj’Elka. Dude’s got a blue hat and a goatee, but the portrait looks like some totally different person.

Is it possible to just have their 3d model represented in the same area as the portrait? Like a view from them head-on? Or is this something that the art dept is working on? I feel like I remember seeing an update about this recently, but there’s been a lot going on lately. Thanks for all the work on the game!

These new portraits are new in 0.9 so I can only imagine that they’re still rolling out the rest, so no worries.
