You can’t see the image inside the Hidden tag.
It’s a shame, it greatly limits the usefulness of the tag to organize a large text clearly. 
That’s not quite correct, it depends on which link you choose from Imgur:

Image Link
Some do work, some don’t (as you can see in my guide /shameless plug).

I think Direct and Image Link should work too. 
I agree, they should, but there is at least a way of getting it to work.
