Idea's for the Monolith of Fate

Intro

First of all i love the new patch. So thanks for that EHG.
Second i like the base idea of Monolith of Fate since i loved Synthesis league of POE.
Yes guys POE, thats were this system seem to get its idea from so yes i will mention POE because of it lol.

Since there are not random generated tilesets or a pathway system like POE had (which is perfectly fine by me). I tend to get bored quicker in the Monolith.
I love the chances of getting the beacons but i think this endgame needs more of things like that.

I would like to hear from you guys aswell what might be a good addition for the Monolith of Fate. This might be in the tileset aswell as outside the tileset (map).
What kind of change or edition would keep you longer in the maps instead of (for example) rushing trough it?

If your not rushing trough it like me, what would make you more excited to keep full clearing the maps or clear 75% of it?
I like the basic idea of the system which LE has. I just keep noticing not feeling rewarded enough to full clear maps/echoes.

At first the loot kept me going but now that my character is strong enough i see that its not worth it. Beside the loot i miss those small exciting moments. Diablo 3 had a goblin which dropped gold to look out for as an example.

LE has pillars which is a good system.
Iam hoping however that some random things will be added which are not always to close the main objective. Things that make it worth to explore the whole echoe or that MIGHT reward you. This could encourage more players to explore more while having a chance of getting that exiciting mini boss with a chance of dropping better loot or whatever. Or a lot more XP or or or you know what i mean.

Deeper dive on some of my ideas and my thinking

In the end LE will get more content which supports hopping on and off the Monolith system to make playing the monolith fresh again.
I still think however before that, EHG needs to end that little extra in to the Monolith.

Idea number 1:
I would love to see for example a chance of spawning secret paths within the maps/tilesets or while exploring the echo system (the overiew tileset).
Just like the paths they have in the Majasa content, you go trough a passage and enter a different area. They could even work with a portal system that they already have that you can enter for that extra bit of content and exictment to exactly keep running maps.

Idea 2:
I talked about random generated maps a lot already on and of the forum, but that doesnt seem to happen, not anytime soon atleast if it happends.
I hope EHG will focus on other random generated things within the tileset endgame system or within the maps.
A chance for a boss to spawn or something else exicting or new Pillars which do something cool instead of just dropping buffs or loot. Those pillars are all over the area which might encourage more people to explore the echoes/maps.

Idea 3:
For me, changing the spawn points of the objectives would really help aswell to make mapping more fresh. EHG did this with a few objectives by letting the mobs move. Which is a good change in the right direction in my book.
In many other ones its just walking straight to the upper left and thats it. This makes you autowalk those echoes after a few times basicly which doesnt reward replayability.

It would be nice if the objective had 3 potential spawn points not to close to each other. You will have to exactly look for more spots and see more of the map like this.
Auto walking wouldnt be rewarded everytime since there is a 1 in 3 chance of dropping at that spawn spot.

Idea 4:
It would be also cool if they changed the weather (which cost more in every sense, also performance, so maybe not), or the basic look of the area.
So for example instead of entering the desert map with the sun up, you enter the map while its a bit darker and because of this you encounter a few different monsters aswell.
So copying the same tileset for the same reward but 50/50 it. So 50 percent chance of encountering the sunny one and 50 for the other one (just some random numbers).

Or make the darker tileset with a special merchant were you have a chance of buying a unique with a maximum of 3 legendary potential. Then the chance of getting the map shouldnt be 50% ofc but something to hunt in the maps themselfs beside loot.
