Idea of system to increase LP, WW on uniques and streghten affixes on them

1. LP and WW
As many know getting 4LP or 28WW Uniques are extremely rare or in some case impossible, so let us players forge those numbers.
I thought about introducing new DG, that lets you combine two same uniques to rise LP or WW.
For LP you could start from 0LP and rise it up to 4LP.
1LP will nedd two 0LP Uniques - tier 1DG
2LP will need two 1LP Uniques (4x 0LP) - tier 2DG
3LP will need two 2LP Uniques (4x 1LP/8x 0LP) - tier 3DG
4LP will need two 3LP Uniques (4x 2LP/8x 1LP/16x 0LP) - tier 4DG

For WW i think there is no possibility to get 0WW on those uniques so let say we get 2 WW uniques, one with 7WW and second with 5WW.
After merging two of them you get unique with 9WW, and after that when you again merge this one with another that have now 6WW you then get unique with 12WW.
The formula is:
[HIGHER WW] + 0,5(rounded down*) x [LOWER WW]

*1WW will be exception as it will give +1WW just like 2WW, and 3WW

I know that in extreme situation (only 1WW drops) you will need 28 WW uniques to create one 28WW unique, but right now the lowest WW unique I found during 170h of playing was 5WW and that means with only 5WW drops, you will need only 13 uniques so it’s not that scary.
Dungeon tier could be something like that for WW
Tier 1 - up to 10WW
Tier 2 - up to 15WW
Tier 3 - up to 21WW
Tier 4 - up to 28WW

2. Affixes
Now what about upgrading affixes on uniques?
We can utilize glyphs and runes during merging process. Specific combination of those items could provide:

  • a chance to upgrade one affix
  • a chance to upgrade two affix
  • a chance to upgrade three affix

and further.

This system will have two variables:

  • upgrade chance
  • how many affixes

Upgrade chance will be determined by glyphs and number of affixes by runes.
For not being OP lets demand more glyphs per number of affixes it will affect.
Basic formula: 1 affix = 1 glyph
That means players won’t be able to upgrade 4 affixes with just one glyph that gives the highest chance.

The minimum chance should be 15%, and the maximum 50% per glyph but you could stack them to increase the odds, few examples of using this system:

  1. Using 2x 15% chance glyph with rune that upgrade one affix, you will have 30% chance to upgrade one affixes
  2. Using 2x 15% chance glyph with rune that upgrade two affixes, you will have 15% chance to upgrade two affixes
  3. Using 3x 15% chance glyph with rune that upgrade two affixes, you will have 30% chance to upgrade first affix and 15% chance to upgrade second affix.
  4. Using 4x 15% chance glyph with rune that upgrade two affixes, you will have 30% chance to upgrade two affixes
  5. Using 2x 15% chance glyph with rune that upgrade three affixes, the game won’t let you do this. Message: Not enough glyph used.

They’re the most powerful items in the game. They’re supposed to be extremely hard to get.
