Idea for Bladedancer/Dancing Strikes

Definitions of “Primary Skill” for the sake of this post: “a spammable skill with a low or no Cooldown and easily manageable MP costs or MP generation”

Bladedancer builds currently suffer from a lack of primary skills. You have to dual wield for Dancing Strikes, so your only other options are Flurry, Cinder Strike, or Puncture. With Cinder Strike being Fire/Physical and no conversions.

As a foil, if we look Sentinel as another melee example. There’s the base skills: Rive, Vengeance, and Multistrike. With Shield Bash, Erasing Strike, Forge Strike, and Judgement being convertible into a primary skill as long as you can manage the MP costs. All but one of these skills have no requirements to use them (such as dual wield, 2h, etc) and the one that does (shield Bash) can have the shield requirements removed. Leaving lots of build variety for your preferred primary punisher.

There’s no requirement for a blade dancer to dual wield, why can’t they “dance” with a Zweihander, or be a swashbuckler… With a buckler…

Flurry, Cinder Strike, and Puncture are great skills, but I just feel like those three options (one being fire build exclusive) just kind of limit our build options.

So I suggest the final skill be another ability that’s a primary ability like Dancing Strikes, but doesn’t have a dual wield requirement, or have a node in dancing strikes that removes the dual wield requirement.
