Love the game and in particular the crafting system!
I’m a relatively new player but have already amassed tons of affix shards. So I thought about ideas for a “shard sink”. Here’s one:
A “collector” NPC that rewards handing in items that have specific stats/affixes/combinations. This would essentially motivate crafting for more than your own character(s), including using up shards that your build doesn’t really need itself. What they are looking to collect could be randomized, thematically integrated, and/or changed over time in some way.
I haven’t thought too deeply about the rewards and other implications of such an approach yet.
What do you think? Also curious about other ideas for interesting “shard sinks”.
