I started a thread recently about building a cold damage mage after trying to do my own using glacier and being very underwhelmed.

Someone linked me a German build similar to yours, using channeled nova but also volcanic orb and it was one of the smoothest leveling experiences I’ve had even before level 42 (I think) when I could equip the unique to make it ranged,. Then it became almost unfair to the mobs lol.

I’ll have to check out your version using Arcane Ascendance since I’m hardly ever using volcanic orb anyway and it’s an even bigger mana hog than channeled Nova.

yes the arcane ascandance will not only give you additional damage but it give 60% mana efficency with channeled nova so you can channel almost twice as long

Hi ! Thanks for the build. When you say Focus is “insert foul word”, I guess you mean it’s bad. Why take that instead of something else then ? Like snap freeze for exemple or mana strike or glacier.

You need it to get mana back relatively as quickly as possible
