I 'm playing as Shaman with one of my characters and I have decided that I want to use the Upheaval skill as a totem. I don’t use other Totem skills so I have only taken the first of the nodes which are related to the totemic conversion of the skill. I have also taken the node which makes Upheaval create 3 Fault Lines and increases its mana cost, but also causes Upheaval Totems to have 50% less attack speed.
Well, after trying out this combination, I can assure you guys that it’s terrible. The short duration of Upheaval Totem combined with its high mana cost and low attack speed makes this combination essentially unplayable if you don’t have an attack speed buff for your Totem. The Totem lasts only 5 seconds, it costs over 40 mana (as Shaman, yes) and during that time it attacks 3 times in total (not so hard to count). I’m not sure how EHG expects people to use Upheaval Totems, but if you take these 2 nodes, Upheaval Totem is unplayable without further support.
For the record, I am still playing Upheaval Totem with these 2 nodes allocated, because it fits well into my build, but I have attack speed buffs for my Totem which makes it playable. But I think it needs a serious buff at least in duration and attack speed penalty.
