back in d2 my favorite class was the barbarian…for 1 reasons…not the most popular but Im sure there was some love and I didnt find anything similar in later diablo like games and I would love to see it here in grim dawn
the ability to dual wield 2handed swords…this is probably super niche and unpopular but I loved go around with 2 big swords like a gigachad…maybe a set of two weapons or as some item enabling this…with some penalties in order to make it more balanced? I dont think a new skill could be added, so it would have to work as an item.
well thats it…I would love to my old gigachad character with two big swords again
I don’t see a problem with having one mastery being able to do that. It would probably be designed to be balanced with that in mind, so I’m cool with it, even if I don’t like barb that much.
sure…like I said there should be some penalties for balancing…then it should be a set…I would still go with that I still jump in d2 sometimes just to kill stuff with 2 giant swords lol
Yeah, some balance is certainly needed for something like this.
It could be a core mastery-gimmick, if EHG designs more masteries in the future. Not my favourite class fantasy, and I think it looks odd/off from an animation perspective, but no kink shaming from my side towards people who like it.
They will. Mike has often hinted that they’re actively working on them, though he won’t say which will come out first.
He also said they’ll eventually have new classes, though new masteries will come first.
I am sorry, I should have used ‘when’ rather than ‘if’, as I am aware that Mike already teased that he even knows at least one 4th mastery for a class.
I mean, we already have dual wield katanas in a lot of video games and I feel that they should totally be 2 handed which is what they are meant to be used we also have dual shields…and I didnt know there will be more masteries and classes thats actually huge!!
Obviously, it’s a 2 handed sword, but he wanted a 2 handed katana, whch is pretty much an Odachi (given I’m no expert on swords much less Japanese swords). He was explicitly also talking about DWing 2 handed swords…
yeah, what I meant irl katanas are considered and used with two hands, outside some techniques and what not but for some reason in a lot of media and games katanas are depicted as one handed…so if you consider this idea 2 katanas would be dual wielding two handed
