I have not logged in for a couple years now my characters are gone

Has anyone else had the issue where they have not logged into the game for a year or two and now there characters are no longer there? Might this have to do with steam login. I don’t remember having to login with steam in the past.

Edit: It was like this yesterday but I cannot confirm if it is that way today due to the servers being down. Also hope everyone has a great release day !!

Did you check between online and offline modes? Existing characters were moved to offline, once multi-player hit.

yah I did check , thanks for the reply though. I will say it is a good sign that my badges are still there
