WoW had database issues for the better part of a week… complete with loot being rolled back and lost.

If you’re that bothered by the load times, just pretend the game doesn’t come out for another week, and come back next Wednesday. I don’t understand this vitriol… shit happens.

Initial launch issues have nothing to do with the quality of the game itself. If they are persisting after a couple of weeks, then we can have conversations about the quality of their code. But, until then, just find something else to do/play while they try to stabilize things.

I think that FFXIV Endwalker had insane queues for multiple weeks, maybe even over a month. Not excusing it, but it’s just part of the online gaming reality right now. And with games like WoW and FFXIV, if you can’t login, you can’t play, period. With Last Epoch, you can at least play the entire game offline.

Exactly. All the people bitching about skill re-leveling have this chance to hop into offline mode and test skills, so once the issues are resolved, they can focus on what they figured out they wanted to play. Instead, they troll forums, bitching about ā€˜not being able to play the game’.

you dont even know what trolling means you said other games had launch issues thats why its fine if LE also have that wich is stupid low IQ take not to mention another low IQ take ā€œjust imagine game isnt released for another weekā€ if theres somone trolling its you i did not buy this game to play offline i bought it to play online it was advertised that you can play it online

Hahahaha this is either magnificent trolling or the dictionary definition of entitlement. You using the term cucked like this makes me lean toward the latter unfortunately.

Hey pal, bugs, lags, hungups, and stutters are part of release week for every major game of the past two decades. You think this is bad? You should have been there for the Cyberpunk release, took a year for that game to stabilize on some consoles, and many would argue the most recent update only made it feature complete. These codebases are enormous, and creating a picture perfect instance on release day does not happen. This isn’t 1997 anymore when a game had 500 lines of code. If you don’t like this, wait a couple of weeks post launch and see how the game does. Buying a game pre release or on release day is always a gamble. Ultimately, we should all be grateful that the paradigm has changed so that bugs and other issues can be squashed. Back in the day if a game had a bug, it had a bug end of story. You find MissingNo by accident and your save is corrupted? Oh well gfy.

This post is like seeing someone go to a restaurant’s opening night and be shocked their dinner took 30 min instead of the usual 15. Shit happens, roll with the punches, whining like this is a terrible way to go through life and will leave you bitter, angry, and resentful.

Can you repeat that, in a language the rest of us can understand?

All I read was, ā€œREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEā€.

cyberpunk was fine on release and playable yeah there was bunch of bugs but playable and i personally didnt encounter anything game breaking so your comparison doesnt even make any sense try again

ā€œforeverā€ is a very long time. I think it’s safe to say the problems won’t last ā€œforeverā€.

ā€œi personally didn’t encounter anythingā€

There is your problem friend, you’re over-indexing on your own experience. I haven’t had a single issue w/last epoch. That doesn’t change the fact that you have. If you’re trying to say Cyberpunk was more stable across all its platforms on release than this game then I’ll just leave these here since your memory seems to be pretty short term:

TL:DR

Cyberpunk went down as one of the biggest launch failures of all time and nearly killed the game upon release.

This release, well it has issues. Nothing nearly as bad as what PS4 Cyberpunk players faced, I’m not saying let’s put our head in the sand, I’m just saying let’s give these devs and artists the same grace we would like for ourselves at our own jobs, because that’s what this is, their job. I can definitely say my work output isn’t 100% perfect at all times, and anyone who thinks theirs is, well they’re delusional.

c’mon, WOW was released what? 20 years ago, hardly a comparison.

I can understand both sides.
People pay for a finished product which isnt finished when they buy it. In this case due to server issues. I m also frustraded that i cant play. And thats no excuse to say ā€œWe did not know how many players will be onlineā€ Come on, thats just a lie. Just tell a true reason why this is happening like and people will appreciate it.

  1. From side of dev: We are (mostly) all no devs, IT experts what so ever. Maybe it is not that easy to expan server x times bigger than they intended 2 months ago, I have no idea. but for me that would at least be an explanation i can live with it. Or that it is just too expensive to get it done for release, then tell people before release of it that there will be most likely issues.
Again, i m sure player will appreciate honesty. So much bullshitting in gaming industry last years…

BUT for all these ā€œDont whine, play offline and test your skillsā€ā€¦ This is so ridicoulous. What you think? play in offline til level 100 and invest x hours and then switch to online with zero?

When we want to play offline we all would still play grim dawn so please stop this nonsense

lol please don’t compare a major MMO’s first launch back in 2004 which has 34072347 more content then this ARPG in 2024. There is a lot more to mmos than arpgs.

Because they ignored all feedback during the beta on how broken their zone transitioning code was.

I believe that’s what it translates to in English, yes. That or ā€œI would like to speak to your managerā€.

It was for me, but I wasn’t trying to play it on a previous gen console, that looked phenomenally bad.

You’re right, WoW had(has) a much bigger budget! Also, it wasn’t the base-game release, and they’ve had more than one botched launch day.

Let me just say:
You know you can run monoliths even if you haven’t finish de campaign right ? First mono are lvl 58 but you can easily run them around 40 maybe even lower never tried. That’s what I’m doing. I’ll go back to the campaign when the server are better.
