Without a good editor, all writers look like amateurs. You always need someone to kick your ass with some heartfelt critique ^^
That’s why I will always hire editors for my professional writing, even though I work as an editor myself. It’s difficult to see your own shortcomings.
One of my favorite lore notes in TQ was a random drop from the Satyr army that was a “note to home” or something like that. Just a note from the perspective of a member of the “beastman army”
