I feel proud ! About to be level 80 and beat the monolith campaign

I beat the first story mode campaign, and now I just literally beat the monolith 5/5 campaign which was a walk in the park… Now I just need help finding a loot filter for my paladin for judgement attunement and vengeance spamming … I am also wondering does the level like if its a level 24 matter or does the stats on the item matter 90%? I’m hyped… I also am rich finally ! I saved up almost 1 million gold too lol.

Gz!

It is never the level that matters pretty much.

The level requirement is based on two things:

  1. The basetype of the item, which dictates the minimum level requirement regardless of affixes.

Example:
Plated Gauntlets always have a minimum level requirement of 45
Eternal Gauntlets always have a minimum level requirement of 86

  1. The total affix tier of all affixes combined + the highest tier affix on the item. (There is a very specific formula at play here, but that doesn’t really matter for you as a player)

So when a item drops with a few affixes already it could raise the level requirement of the base itemtype, or if it remains below the basetype level requirement, the item still has that as a minimum level requirement.

But once you progressed far enough into the game and want better and better gear the level requirement most ly stem from affixes on the gear. But it is not an indicator of “how good” and item is.

Example:
Exalted Noble Gloves (level 25 requirement) with 1x T6 and 3x T4 affixes that are useless to your build still has a level 65 requirement, but isn’t “good”, because it has affixes that your build doesn’t care for.

Rare Outcast Gloves (level 25 Requirement) that drop with 1x T3 and 2x T1 affixes your build cares about are still requiring level 25, but have a lot of upgrade potential. You can add another affix to the empty affix slot and you can increase the tier of all affixes. Both fo which will increase the level requirement. But the dropped item itself had a low level requirement.

Congrats! That’s a GOOD feeling. While going through campaign and the 5/5, i usually take the time to decide what I want to do for the long grind. Sometimes I might respec or farm for pieces. In your case, see what you can upgrade that you feel will fit your build or playstyle. Again, exciting stuff to hear you make this accomplishment. Also, other players that use different builds, tactics and methods are a good way to take in some ideas.

Cheers!
