When Stash is open, right mouse click sends items to the Stash.
When Shop is open, right mouse click to sell items.
I think the above behavior would be easier to operate, but does anyone have any objections?
I wonder why I have to press Shift together every time to perform the above operations.

Hi, I think it’s designed this way to avoid any conflicting actions.
Because I personally sometimes equip items directly from stash or in my inventory while my stash is open. I think it would be very annoying to constantly close the stash just to equip one item (idk about others).
This is probably an extra layer of protection to not accidentally sell your stuff. Although I wish we can lock the items too as suggested by someone here in the forums.
Also, it’s not just Last Epoch that did this. Other ARPGs too like Grim Dawn and Diablo 2 which I both played. And probably other ARPGs out there has this method of transferring/selling items.

By the way, in DiabloIV, both were Right Click only, not Shift+Right Click.
(I am the one who finds this easier to do.)
Which operation is better should be different for each person, not fixed to one or the other,
It would be best if it were possible to switch between these operations by configuration…
but I wonder if this would be difficult to implement.

After giving that suggestion some thought and apperceive the current mechanics in practice/game I agree that it would feel more natural to have that changed or at least being an option.
When I have the stash open I almost always want to transfer stuff from stash to inventory and vice versa. I rarely want to equip items right away and if I do I almost always manually drag the item to the equip slot because when it comes to the weapon and ring slots equipping via right-click feels clunky in many scenarios and doesn’t provide the desired result. IMO it would make more sense to have the Shift modifier available to directly equip items instead, if at all.

Yeah, I can agree with it being an option. I know I use the right-click to equip items all the time. I swap them back and forth while watching the changes in my character sheet often.

I highly agree!
If I open the forge menu, the chances that I want to put an item from inventory into the forge is waaaayyy higher than to equip it. Same for a vendor. Same for stash.
It’s a really weird choice to prioritize equiping items with right click. It always felt like a UI rookie mistake from devs.
