Since Diablo 2 I played everything there is in the genre (you name it: PoE, Torchilights, Grim Dawn, Van Helsings etc) and I love Last Epoch. But how can it beat current king of the hill (namely: Path of Exile)? What makes Path of Exile great? It is surely its content (there is so much to do there: blight, delve, heist and so on). So despite of what I read here and on Steam, here is my suggestion:
Don’t focus on character personalization or [many times requested on Steam] achievements and other, low value efforts (those things dont make arpg good or bad - they are just there; ie. no matter how many character customization options would be put in Diablo IV they wouldn’t make it any better)
What is important in such a game, LE already has (great combat, progression, items and skills). What it desperately needs is more content, more things to do, more bosses, dungeons, challenges. In PoE you can make whole build focused on one certain activity and it’s entertaining.
That’s all I’m suggesting. Developers clearly know what they are doing. All I hope for is that they wont lose focus on whats important (things to actually do in game, content, challenges) and split their forces toward some low value efforts (achievements, personalizations).
