How to freeze corruption

Hi

I farm empowered monolith shades for the unique belt that requires me to have 120 corruption or above for it to drop

I am not super strong yet and I would like to stay at aroun 120 corruption until I get the item drop

But each time I kill the shade to try and get the drop my corruption increases again

I know I can reset it next to the starting point stone but I dont want to reset it to 100 because then I need to farm it up to 120+ again for a chance for the belt to drop

Is there really no way to “lock” the corruption in place at e.g. 130 to keep farming the belt without having to reset the corruption to 100 when the corruption number gets to high for my current gear?

When you “cleanse” the corruption you can choose how much to reduce it by. They have “a small amount like 10 or something” a medium amount “like 45” and a large amount “like 110”.
