How is my build so far? Does it need improvement?

My Build

What’s the weakest and strongest part of this build do you think needs imrpovement? I’m level 73 and doing mono’s by myself… Finally got the hang of the permanent buff stuff… I know I need more phys res but just thought i’d share my work in progres build… Or I could respect.

Would be better to post it in the Sentinel channel
I’ll mainly comment on the skills and passive tree because in the early stages of Mono you don’t have much choice in equipment. The only thing I’ve noticed regarding gearing is that the armor, coral ring and weapon seem particularly weak compared to many rare options that you should have found by now. Correct stats on rares are stronger than random exalted. If you have gotten a Woven Flesh from the Abomination that’s a good early option before you have crit immunity from other sources

Skills

  1. Volatile Reversal not skilled. That’s one of the best skills and boosts your dps by a bunch
  2. Warpath nodes that would boost your dps: Echo Knight, Apocalypse Whirl, Maw of the Deep
  3. Anomaly: Temporaly Mastery and Time Lord to make it stick on you. Time Eater and Void Maw aren’t too good
  4. Sigils of Hope give a huge boost and are worth the 15 points in Paladin. They work pretty much passively from the Last Wish node

Passive Tree
Finality is a really strong node. Take it, max it
Would put 4p in Woe and 4p in Singular Purpose early on
1p in Essence of the End is pretty nice
Work on Echoing Strikes, Time Legion, Avatar of Regret. The Echo chance boost is very good
Dread isn’t too good and Eternal Form can be maxed later when you need the survivability

What are nodes? Or are just the spec you put points into? And yes I am still leveling. . I am level 73 right now. I was trying to follow a guide but maybe I shouldn’t until I hit 100… But honestly, I don’t know anything about leveling builds. I mainly know about armor and such.

Like blind. Blind is awesome. 1 affix & you’re crit immune.

The modifiers in the skill and passive trees are called nodes. Basically the thing you are clicking on when allocating the points.

I’d say you can very much be experimental up until 100 corruption or so when it starts to slowly tax your clear speed when playing sub-optimal builds on a fresh char. LE gives you a lot of possibilities on how you can to develop your character and it’s not rare to see niche builds perform very well into medium to high corruption if build properly.

I am level 74 now, I am trying to figure out a build with a sword and shiled for a void knight, because I noticed I get hit harder when I use a 2hnd weapon…

I actually hate what they did do Blind. It feels exactly as running a build with only 90~% crit avoidance… It’s good for the most part, until it isn’t. The monster gets a fraction of a second without the Blind debuff and bam, you die to a crit.

For me, it’s basically a useless stat and a waste of an affix now, especially for builds that can’t facetank while hitting all the time. Unless I have something that relies on Blind to get some buff, like the Smite node that gives more dmg to blinded enemies, I mostly avoid it.

It would be fine if they changed it to be something else instead of Blind. I can’t remember what would be the english word for that, but it should be something that indicates the vision is blurred, contrary to a complete lack of vision that Blind implies.
I mean, being blind implies the monster cannot see anything at all, so they should miss some attacks, not that they can’t see straight, thus being unable to score a critical hit.

“Blur” would be an appropriate word, or haze could also be used. They could also use “confusion” to present the same affect.

LOL why would that word blind offend you? I’m literally blind in one eye and it doesn’t offend me at all… Don’t get salty over that honestly. Their just words.

It wouldn’t, I was not saying that it did or does. I was replying to @F0lk’s comment about a good word in English to replace Blind to make it a little more accurate on exactly what it does.

You might want to read what it was in response to.

“impaired” I think is the word you’re looking for.

Blind definitely implies “cannot see” and I assumed it lowered enemy accuracy/increases our chance to dodge hits by blinded enemies. It would make more sense in the OA/DA system of TQ/GD where blind could lower the OA of the enemy and increase their chance of missing you

Yeah, it’s an ailment so like any other ailment you need good attack speed/hit rate or a guaranteed application chance (which I’m getting from the node in Net).
