I play only solo for now, but before i try to convince friends to play with me or look for ppl to party up i would like to have a better Idea how Multiplayer currently works.
So i hope someone can enlighten me a little how multiplayer and especially character progression works.
So as far as I know, one person is the host and when i join i could jump to all the places he can go. Any point in the campaign, empowered monos or arena and dungeons.
Question is, can my character progress in the story if i join someone else? can i build up corruption in a mono that will remain when i log out and get in alone later on?
i would have guessed that quest progression, activating way-points and unlocking dungeon tiers is possible. But I’m rather unsure how mono progression and corruption would work.
Yes you can do quests together and everybody can compelte teh quest.
This only doesn’t work if you do quests that not all players have unlocked yet.
While playing through the story a lot of the main quests are unlocked as you complete previous ones, but there are a few quests where you can pick up with the story again.
But regardless of if you are party leader or not, quest progress does save.
Yes, if you open up the monolith.
Only the person who is opening up monolith does “progress” their timeline (echo web discovery + corruption).
The players that do not host and only join do however still generate stability for their timeline and they getto choose between 2 rewards chocies on every echo instead of the one rewards the host does get.
