I feel really stupid asking this question as nobody else is asking it…
I am playing online-offline (i.e. not full offline) and already reached the monolith. Still I cannot visit it the observatory (merchant guild makes no sense in offline). The button is telling me “unlocked during the campaign”. Is that not the case?
FOUND IT: Go to Majeika (or whatever the town is called) and take the upper left exit (Upper Majeika) there you will get the quest from Zarrik. Geez.

I feel terrible. Already, in under 24 hours someone has reached monoliths. I hadn’t even been able to complete the campaign for 2 weeks before launch as a new player… With the issues for launch, I barely made it to chapter 2 last night.
Then again, I work fulltime and didn’t take time off for this release, while some do partake in such things. Still sadface.
You don’t have to compare yourself with how fast others play the game. Yes, you can reach monoliths in a few hours. But you don’t have to. Just play at your own pace. What matters is having fun, and some players have fun moving slower than others through the content.
That’s a legacy char, ha ha
