How did I end up here?

I was just starting the saving last refugees quest and went down some steps…
Is this the secret area stated in the last major patch?

Or is this just an area people know about and I just stumbled upon it?
I have made at least 5 characters and all have ran through this area, but this is the only one that this happened to.

I went here with another character [one that I beat the game with] and its open now?
Is this just a change that happened or did I unlock something. Hm.

That’s because it wasn’t there before 0.8.2.

At least I avoided the shame of being a CT & having to ask someone where it was. Nobody will know that I didn’t know now!! :smiley:
