I’m currently playing on a bear druid… but i would love to use the ‘when transformed’ idols from acolyte… and likewise, it would be pretty cool if i could use my ‘elemental resistance when transformed’ idols from my druid, on my acolyte… and the ‘melee elemental damage’ idols from mage would be awesome on my druid too, and so, i think that all class idol requirements could be removed, and that they don’t need to be class-specific.
I am not sure. I am a bit torn on this suggestions.
Some idols stats are pretty generic, but others are very build defining or build enabling in some cases.
And I personally think if they are a bit more restrictive with what classes can access what they can make them a lot stronger.
The examples you gave were very basic stats that you can get on l virtually all otehr pieces of gear anyway, so it would only shuffle around some of your stat priorities and stat budgets on your regular gear, but wouldn’t really change a whole lot.
i actually prefer if the game had no class restricted items. but on the flipside, class restricted items allow class specific items to roll more easily.
That’s why there could be some generic Idols with ease. I think all the class bound stats should make idols class bound but why should there be dmg while transformed to one class who is able to transform but not for the other? If there is ever a unique that shapes you into a different form it could be a nice touch if you were able to use transformation idols. Just to complete make up an example on top.
Everything class bound should stay class bound yes but generic stuff should happen across the board. Would be kind of silly if only Sentinls get +X while channeling because they have warpath and all other classes with channeling skills get none.
