As the title says, I have horrible, constant rubberbanding when playing online despite having stable sub-50 ms at all times. My framerate is also consistently high (100-200+).
The rubberbanding snaps me back 2-5 seconds probably every 15-20 seconds, making the game (basically) unplayable. I have lowered my graphics settings, checked network settings, restarted, reinstalled, checked my firewall, ports, all the usual stuff and nothing is fixing it.
I have over 500 hours in Early Access playtime and I never once experienced issues like this. I assumed at first that it was just due to launch and server strain, but it doesn’t seem like anyone else is having this issue. Some people are reporting some rubberbanding when using movement skills but this happens even with zero movement skills equipped or specialized.
I would love some insight into what might be happening. Hope someone can help. Thank you.
I am having this every 3 or 4 seconds just while walking from place to place. It is a like a small stagger backwards. My ping is typically ~37. I tried other servers and it did make it worse. I tried offline and that unsurprisingly doesn’t have the issue. I am going to stop playing for a while as it is draining to have the screen judder from this. Maybe I’ll check back in a week - I feel like this is new as I don’t think I could have played if this had been constant.
I, too, have been having the same issue since launch. I have dealt with it since that time. I was hoping it would improve with subsequent patches but am getting frustrated as it makes big boss battles very difficult as I am unable to move out of big area attacks on time as I sputter backwards a few times and then will get one shot. Same goes for traversal skill not triggering after I push the button periodically.
