Horrible performance on MSI - Stealth 14

Hi,

So, I have MSI Stealth 14 with specs of Core i7-13620H with 16GB Memory-RTX 4060-1TB SSD 1920 x 1200 rez.

It doesn’t matter if I play on medium setting or very low on graphic setting, the game FPS regularly drops below 10, 50% if not majority of the time while fighting, making it unplayable.

Does any one have a similar spec laptop and have the same issue? Any advice for what I can do to play with my laptop, while I travel?

Thank you.
D

Make sure that all your power management settings are on max performance instead of max battery life. Check for background processes eating up cpu, memory, or disk io

Yeah, I made sure it’s max performance and even manually pointed to LE game to use RTX 4060. Nothing unusual in the background process since I only have the game on.

My rig had the same issue, the game floods the ram into space. Considering I’m running solo without party clutters, it made no difference if I turned the graphics up or down. Seems like this was a server issue though, I haven’t encountered anything like this today. ‘yet’

You’re not alone. It seems like the servers being offline like this is all just a distraction to stop people from communicating with each other and all reaching the same conclusion - 1.0 is hands down the worst optimized release I have ever seen. I think they rushed out all these ‘pretty and colorful and artistitc’ assets to induce more people to purchase last second, and they either never intended to optimize it and fix it or just haven’t yet.

Either way, shame on the LE devs for this. Releasing a broken game server , that’s forgivable. Damaging peoples hard spent money on their PCs is a much different story. One of my friends already bricked their high end GPU playing ‘very low’ on LE since launch. Disgraceful.

msi dragon center, game mode on, gpu switch: discrete mode instead of hybrid

no idea but thought i’d mention it.

Hey im having the same bad performance on my msi laptop that’s the only game where im having huge fps drops and over heating … also i can’t put the game into the msi center gaming mode for some reason, did anyone found a way to put it there ? i tried to change manualy my user scenario to auto to high perf but that doesn’t change much tho. fps are a bit more stabble but still even with my fan on cooler booster it’s still heating a lot and i kinda don’t want to put my pc on fire

@BurmeseDude

if you have dragon centre, or geforce experience, get rid of them.
on a laptop especially MSI, they chew up wayyyy too much performance from CPU.

You dont need geforce experience to update nvidia, from now on do it from their website(click drivers in top right). make sure you are updated and selecting (laptop edition)
then -

  • open up nvidia control panel - Manage 3d settings
set power management here to normal, msi may overheat. but set windows settings to max power.
    low latency mode on
max frame rate setting, set it to your monitor refresh rate(240hz, i would set to 144 though)
turn triple buffer and vsync to off
    set shader cache size 10GB

also turn off windows “game mode” it doesnt help.

restart pc and let me know.
also set max frames in game to 90-144 and fiddle with settings.
if none of this works open nvidia control panel - configure surround - PhysX - change it to your gfx card.
message me if needed
