same problem here, since two days now 130ms, will u make a statement about this problem or just leave the game ?
English description further below
Was mĂŒsst ihr also tun:
I have meanwhile found a solution for the problem, since I doubt that EHG can fix this quickly.
As already suspected, this is a peering problem between EHGâs provider and Deutsche Telekom. I donât want to bore you with technical details and networking theory, but the connection between the two networks does not seem to be good enough, which is why latency increases during peak hours or under heavy load. This also applies to all other providers that use the Telekom network, such as 1&1.
The solution is to use a VPN: A VPN ensures that you are no longer connecting directly from your Telekom network into EHGâs provider network (to put it very simply), but instead your connection is routed through your VPN provider. In the past this used to be very costly in terms of ping, but providers like NordVPN are now âgamer-friendlyâ and very fast. So you connect from Telekom to your VPN provider, and they connect you further into EHGâs provider network. I tested it with NordVPN, played 5 echoes: Ping at 7ms. Without VPN: 120â140ms.
Unfortunately, VPNs cost money. At NordVPN there is a monthly subscription for around âŹ15. If you donât want to spend the money, you can cancel within the first month and get a full refund. That might be enough time for EHG to fix the issue. In my opinion, itâs better than not playing at all or playing with high ping. So what do you need to do:
- Go to www.nordvpn.com, create an account, choose a subscription plan, install NordVPN
- Run NordVPN, open Settings (gear icon in the bottom left corner). Under Connection and Security set VPN protocol to UDP â very important, otherwise you wonât be able to connect to the game later.
- Activate VPN
- Play
- Deactivate VPN or leave it on after playing
If youâre not satisfied â money back. If you pretend to be dissatisfied shortly before the end of the first month because EHG has fixed the problem â money back.
Got same problem here in SEA
The problem gets worse and worse, and now to the point where mobs are rubber banding all over the maps; moving items from inventory to stash takes sometimes seconds, producing temporal copies of items (at one time I had FOUR of the same item); movement skills either not triggering, or with significant delay, and sometimes with animation cancel, the same with skills. Sometimes I donât even see the visuals when I cast the skills.
I am with Deutsche Telekom (le sighâŠ), in Bavaria. Ping is around 150-200 ms, and fluctates greatly.
Yeah! Today was a new patch i hoped to fix the lag issue with this⊠But ooohh i was so wrong⊠Now 150 fix ping⊠Unplayable⊠I cant even play a 200 c monolith instant death cuz i cant react the enemy mobsâŠ
use VPN, it helps. Not saying that itâs a good solution, but a working one
Using ProtonVPN, I canât even get to the screen to log in. Tried a few times connecting to German servers and several in neighboring countries.
Dasselbe Problem besteht immernoch.
Having the same issue and it is really weird. I was online in the game and had a ping of 14. Suddently I got a âdisconnected from serverâ message and now the ping is over 100. This doesnât feel like a pure telekom routing issue.
I also tried it with a VPN today. I use Bitdefender Premium VPN and have no further issues with high ping to the EU West Server.
Constantly 15-20 ms ping with VPN versus 120-150 ms ping without VPN.
My friends and I have the same issue in Austria (ISP: Magenta); we tried ProtonVPN yesterday (free version via OpenVPN) and it worked flawlessly. We used one of the Dutch servers.
Germany and telekom here too.
cant play the game for at least 2 weeks.
I got over 700+ hours in LE and iam pretty hard disappointed about that⊠for me it ruined the complete season. -.-
I am also from Germany and use telekom as ISP, so i had the same trouble, but now I use a VPN and all the issues are gone. I can play with 10 - 20 ms constantly without spikes on EU Server West.
As others already mentioned, itâs a peering issue of Telekom. There is already some complaint about âViolation of net neutralityâ:
