I’m surprised I haven’t seen this suggestion, but it would be nice to be able to hide all of the items that are unequipable on the character I’m currently using.
Currently while leveling a new character, you have to look over every single item for that small (x) in the bottom corner of the item to see if you can use it or not.
Using the search feature greys out all items without that key word. Can we please get a check box that will apply the same for our current level and/or character specific items? Maybe it can only show equipable items for whichever character you are currently using.
I made a post about this actually, the same reason as you said. When leveling new characters, sometimes I just equip whatever I find and not bother checking my storage until certain levels like 50, 60, 70…And maybe add +2, +5, +8 (Level 52, 55, 58 for example) if I don’t feel extra lazy.
LE has one of the best item stash management in the genre, but definitely needs improvement. We need an advanced search filter to let us search multiple affixes at once. Also its accuracy when putting keywords, I don’t want a damn “poison resistance” appearing when I LITERALLY searched for “poison damage” or show me Lv50+ items when I literally searched for “Level 5”, etc, etc.
If there is anything in LE that annoys me more than the “trying to be a smartarse search” you describe above, I havent found it yet.
There are so many improvements they could add to make it a really superior stash & search system. Conditional filters, simple things like AND / WITH and even just a class toggle to name but a few. All the reasons for the devs have given for not adding specific features like FP values to the Lootfilter dont apply here (cause you already have the item stashed) and would be great too.
It does that because the info for poison resistance, when you hold control (or is it alt?) says “…reduces poison damage…” (which is what you searched for).
Yeah, that is an obvious reason for that particular search phrase, but logically it shouldnt do that anyway - why would you give a hoot about the alt text when you are searching for an affix on an item in the first place. As I said, its trying to be too clever (or the devs are too lazy )
I can assure you the devs are aware of these kinds of things so its usually not needed to bump threads to get their attention. I am pretty sure they have a list of things like this taller than a basketball player - we just have to be patient and hope they get to some of the ones they agree on sooner or later. Right now I doubt stash features are high on the list unfortunately.
