Hey everyone!
Just recently (apr 2025) decided to look for a decent written guide on leveling, but couldn’t find one.
So I built my own in such a way that makes it easy to use by myself (shut out to one PoE website for the style idea).
So main concept was to go from a fresh Level 1 to the Monoliths in under 2 hours. After finding The Temporal Sanctum key, you’ll make it through the campaign till the end in roughly another 30 mins or so.
I’ve pulled together tips and routes from various speedrunners and seasoned players to create this guide.
It’s totally fine to take the other route, but for me this one is a bit quicker. Anyway, you’ll still want to do Act IX eventually for your guild / +1 to All Attributes.
Going into Monoliths that early can be a little rough for the first few levels, but the XP gain is huge and very fast. And since there’s no XP penalty for dying, you can basically just throw bodies at it until the levels start catching up
I’ve done this route 3–4 times at the start of each cycle, and it definitely works well for me.
You no longer get +attributes from acts 9 and 10. It’s in the patch notes. You now get +2 attributes from getting the 5 knowledge of orobyss.
So as long as you already unlocked your passives/idols, there really is no reason to continue the quests for now. At least until the expansion when they finish the campaign. Might get some reward then, but you currently don’t.
Ok, so I changed my mind a bit here.
I checked the patch notes, and there’s one pretty painful change:
Monolith
Entering an echo that has previously been attempted now provides significantly less XP and favor, in addition to the existing reductions to random encounters and loot.
So if your build isn’t strong enough to start blasting Monoliths right away, it’s probably better to keep leveling through the campaign until Chapter 7 first.
We don’t have the details yet, but in the patch overview video they teased at new one-shot chests for all 3 dungeon keys. So they are not random anymore. So if you know where that chest is, it can be targeted.
