Attempting to kill Heorot and his Blizzard skill kills me every time he moves, there is not enough time to see he is moving and then move with him before the blizzard kills you.
I would reduce his movement speed by 75% to give players time to move with him.
it really feels bad when you get a boss down to 80%+ and you die from a poor mechanic like this
Herot is tough when he does his move but it’s doable even without chill (Did you know you can chill him?)
The advice I would give is always be on the side he is facing and you’ll be able to move with him when he does this mechanic. This is how I beat him.

thanks for the tip, I will try it
You should also equip a movement skill (even if unspecced) and save it for those times.

I do think sometimes his wind up gets canceled out randomly if he’s doing another attack but IIRC he’ll get up on his hind legs before he charges off.
no luck, he moves too fast, sometimes he even moves twice
if they slowed his movement speed it would be possible to beat him
I am using sprigan healing totem build
There is a unique ring that turns summon vines into a teleport skill with 7s cooldown.
People said he can be chilled. That would reduce his movement speed.

Slow is also a thing which will stack with chill. As will making sure you never have the haste or frenzy modifiers running when you do any boss every.

Isn’t funny the deity of ice can be chilled? I’m not mad at this and hope they leave it as is but it makes me chuckle.
how can I chill if my all gear has no forging potential ?
I can maybe change a ring but will lose resists, what do I do add chance to chill or slow?
Go do some other echoes, get some gear you can forge either/both on and try again.

Depends on how fast your skill hits. As long as you can keep up 3 stacks you’re good.

This is not how your story ends, Traveler. Return to the place of your failure to regain hope and continue on.

If you use your rapid fire thorns in spriggan form, you don’t need much. 25% should feel plenty.
Also something that no one mentioned before, make sure you have your cold res capped for this.
