Computer overheated because I was playing that maniac multi-minion necromancer and automatically shut-down and rebooted. but character that was playing is gone, a possible save file corruption.
How can I get it back? It was an online character. It shouldn’t be gone

There are no online characters at the moment… the game is 100% offline - you just login for verification of your account.
When Multiplayer lands then the game will have online characters which will be entirely separate and stored on EHG servers…
You can look in the savegame folder and see if there is a _temp copy of your missing character but if it crashed while trying to save or read the savegame it could very well have corrupted it beyond any further use…
BTW… Recommendation - if your system is overheating/crashing - you may want to tone down LE in-game settings for more stability and to save your hardware… LE is in beta and the devs havent done extensive performance optimisation right now so imho it really isnt worth looking at the eye candy if the game is unstable on your system…
Another idea - you may want to backup the Last epoch savegames folder before you play - that way the worst that can happen is you lose the last playsession progress… nothign else.
Files are in C:\Users[username]\AppData\LocalLow\Eleventh Hour Games\Last Epoch
on windows obviously.
